Update:

In case you haven't noticed, there is an additional child in our family photo. I would like you all to meet the newest member of our family. She is the pretty little 7 year old in the purple dress. "Eloise" now has a little sister. We have decided to call her, "Amelia Bedelia".

I Can't Help It....

This is one of the little splashes of color I have recently added to my nest.
I know it isn't officially time to put away the white sandals and sunscreen (especially here), but I absolutely adore the fall. To me it is like an unopened present just waiting for me to tear into it. I love anxiously waiting for the first cool day that I can wear a sweater. I love the colors and I love the spicy smells of fall. For some strange reason this night owl was up bright and early this morning. I have already taken inventory in my kitchen. I have a loaf of banana nut bread in the oven. I have to buy a couple of ingredients, but when I get home this afternoon I will be making good use of the other overly ripened produce on my counter. Tomorrow I will be able to enjoy Orange Poppy Seed Bread and Autumn Pear Bread. MMM... I can smell it already.... wait that's the banana nut bread that's in the oven! Gotta Go.

Moria,

I am the same way. I love, love, love the fall. The only thing I'm really missing is a few big trees with lots of leaves that fall off so that I can rake them up in big piles and jump in them. I guess I'll have to go to Maryland for that.

Fall is actually starting to really grow on me! I used to not like it because it led to winter and I'm soooo NOT a fan of winter. I do love the smell of apple cinnamon and of pumpkin spice and you can't have those without fall so maybe I'll jump on the fall lovin' bandwagon. We'll see. LOL!

Yeah...but doesn't it remind you of Sccchooool? That used to be why I didn't like it. But I had Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to console me back then. Now that I have kids I just luv fall too.

I adore fall and all its beauty. Do you have a recipe for that orange poppy seed bread? Sounds yummy.
