Update:

In case you haven't noticed, there is an additional child in our family photo. I would like you all to meet the newest member of our family. She is the pretty little 7 year old in the purple dress. "Eloise" now has a little sister. We have decided to call her, "Amelia Bedelia".

My Latest Projects (besides school stuff)

Pre-K when I opened my business I made some friends from neighboring businesses. Most of these people I haven't seen since the storm. A few days ago I decided to take a peek in a new shop that opened in town. I was surprised to see that the owner was one of my old neighbors. She was the owner of a financial institute, but now runs a gift shop. Any way...she had a bunch of these wall scripts that I just LOVE. They come wrapped up in a pretty little tube and are ready to rub on the wall. I have seen them in magazines, but never cash & carry. She didn't have my favorite one though... it says, "Never a husband was shot while doing the dishes!" ;-)

The photo below is of the new pots that I just bought to transplant my daughter's pineapple plants in. She started them in the planters I had outside f my trailer when we were all parked at the church. I am happy to say they have outgrown those planters and are on to bigger and better things. Hopefully we will be able to transplant our itty bitty back yard into our neighbors empty lot. Still no word on what the govt. is going to do with all these vacant properties yet.

Thanks

It's so nice having a friend who is a florist! These were left over from a wedding Kristi just did. Aren't they beautiful? The best part is I didn't even have to pay for this gorgeous arrangement. By the way Tiff these babies gravitate towards the sun too, but I don't mind .... I think it adds character!

As Promised....

Here we are...the three amigas! As you can see the accommodations were lovely. I had a wonderful time thanks to these two ladies and the Lord. The sisters we ran into from Bro. Wilbanks church were a blast to be around. Sis. Loretta you're the greatest! What A Woman! What A Burger! ;-) Inside Joke Sorry. On a more serious note, the messages really hit home. There is just something about getting near living water when your spirit is thirsty! This was the first opportunity I've had to hear Sister LaJoyce Martin speak for an event.....What A Woman! Her gift is truly from the Lord. I couldn't replay the whole thing if I tried, but I wanted to leave you with this comment by Sister Martin that really stuck with me: "...you ladies say you want to know the will of God for your life....well here it is......In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God concerning you." (I Thessalonians 5:18) WOW! That'll Preach! ;-)

It was truly an honor to meet such a great pillar of faith and holiness!

Sister Loretta Giving Thanks...This was definitely a "God Thing" LOL!

We said our good-bye's at the retreat and then ran into each other at a Panera's an hour later......it must've been the will of God is all I can say!

;-( ... ;-I ...;-) ... ;-p ... LOL!!!

On Her Roll!

My Girl is at it again! She has managed to get straight A's in course work and conduct since she started school (4 years.) I am so proud of her. I have to make a big fuss about it because she is so hard on herself. She makes excellent grades, but can't stand it if she doesn't get 100% on everything. I have no idea where she gets that from!?! ;-) lol She works very hard and it pays off! As a reward we are getting ready to start a children's book blog where she will write reviews about the most recent books she has been reading. She has been begging to blog so I figure we can work on it together as a little mother daughter thingy. We will probably work on it this weekend and make our GRAND DEBUT next week. We plan to throw in some wordy gurdies and riddles for her friends to try and solve once a week. P.S. I still haven't gotten my camera out of Hubby's car, but I will be posting about the retreat soon I square! ;-) in case you were wondering the above picture was not staged. She really gets into her homework.

Patience is a Virtue Beppi...

I am neearing the end of this semester. This is when all Heaven breaks loose. ;-) No actually this is the part where I have to put in all of my volunteer time at the schools and I have to do all of my interviews and evaluations of teachers. It's really crazy because I have to interview teachers and write what I think about them and then they get to grade my papers! Well any way I will post about the ladies retreat tomorrow because my camera is in my hubby's car. ;-(

All Things Become New

I am always amazed by the handy-work of God. Its hard to believe that just a few short days ago this flower bed was completely brown and void of any signs of life. Now it is bursting with possibilities My hope is renewed when I realize that it is my God that causes this to be so. O God renew a right spirit within me lest any root of bitterness spring up and consume my soul. Thank you lord for making all things new.
